Shields

Postby narcolepto » Fri Jan 09, 2015 6:27 pm

Howdy y'all, just wanted to check in on something.

Regarding shields, I can only find things saying ponies have to hold them in their mouths. So if you want to sword+board, you either need to go mouth shield+Saddle rack, or be a unicorn and take the feats to hold shields/weapons in magic. Am I missing anything there?

And if I'm not, am I right in thinking that this nerfs (non unicorn) clerics and druids a fair bit, since they then have to choose between holding a shield and casting spells with verbal components? Was this on purpose? Is there a way around that?

Things in mouth don't impede spells or even talking. Clever ponies.

Wait really? Huh... Bit counterintuitive. Also a topic I see discussed a lot. Might want to stick it in the FAQ?

Great books by the way, love the rough draft of Griffons, can't wait for my book to come in =D

That is great news to hear, the liking the griffons that is. We haven't gotten a lot of feedback on it, which I hope means everypony likes it so far.

Well to be fair, the rough draft *was* just released a few days ago, people might just be waiting for the weekend to really read it.
