Hmm. Since it's called "Ascent Into Madness," no one getting buried... yet :P That might be a good idea for something later on.

Hello people. Sorry for not responding for a while. I was getting settled into college, and things have finally gotten much more stable. Let's see if we can keep this from turning into one of those skeletons you guys are fighting!

Side note: I just realized that tomorrow is the anniversary of this thread! To think it has been a year...

By "to-hit", I'm guessing you're talking about the attack roll? In that case, your total bonus would be (BAB)+(STR) = a +5 to your attack roll.

Alas... it really does seem this game is at it's death's end. I hope that if anyone is still there, that they would post something here so I know if I have anyone left. Anyone who isn't there will become NPCs to get things moving. If no one is left, then I'll lay this game at rest.

Assuming no one is left, I would like to to say that I had a good time, and that I hope you all had a good time as well. I was an inexperienced GM when I started this, and I have gotten better as time has gone by. I will always remember my time here.

All I can hope is someone still lives.

I still would like to be a part of this, though given how long it has been perhaps we should move past the battle with skeletons. Maybe, mattering who is still here, perhaps also open up this roleplay to anyone new who wishes to join.

That sounds like it might be wise. Combat in general can slow things down in PBP games, and it doesn't help when you are stuck doing nothing until another person posts. I'll have to think about it.

Are any of the other players still active on the forums? Spy Pony hasn't been on since September 5th, and Silverhide hasn't been on since sometime in August. Arithiael was on October 13th, so there might be a chance he might be still interested in playing. Either way, I'll give them a bit more time before sending out some PMs.

As for recruiting new characters, I'm not against it. If we don't get at least three players back, I'll open up to new players... although the RP forum here seems to be a bit deserted. Do you know anyone in particular that would be interested in jumping in?

One last thing: one thing that seems to make games last longer is easy and constant communication. What do you think about me making a Skype Group for the RP? I'm in a couple RPs myself right now, and I've noticed how nice it is for quick questions that don't necessarily be recorded in stone like in a forum thread. The only problem with it might be if the player doesn't have Skype open much.

EDIT: Another thing: what would you think of making the RP IRC/chat based? It would be a more scheduled, but would be magnitudes faster to play. Perhaps whenever we are in combat, I could have the game take place in a chat room of some kind (IRC, Skype, etc.) and post the archive of the chat stream in the main IC thread. Just a thought I had.

Though it can only be after I move into our new house, I feel using Skype for battles are for the best and would speed things up.

E Don't worry I'm still here. Us snipers need to keep our distance from the group. No going back from that though, oh well. Yeah Arithiael and I are friends irl and he informs me every now and then on what's going on. Sry for not being active to the posts.
