OOC: A little village

Here's some space to talk out of character if need be.

We'll see if there are benefits for having a side thread for out of character. It does help unclutter the main thread, but sometimes the ooc comments are linked to it. I've been in inly one other serious role play game by post and it was very organized. Like there was a thread for background story, one for in game history, another for ooc and one for the game itself. There were a bunch of other ones, but those are the major ones. This might help, it might just be distracting. No time better than now to test it out.

I am confident that it helps with the story telling, the only drawback is that with much less OOC talk in the thread I might loose the feeling of sitting around a table with other people. The main idea is that here we can post our ideas without interrupting the flow of the story.

Will there be an encounter this night?

Sleep tight. Don't let the cart sized blood thirsty carnivorous plants bite.

Also, as we approach what, as you may have guessed, the first battle in this game, I would like to lay down some rules for combat. The one I plan on using is what I like to call dance fighting. The point of it is to do cool moves and have cool things happen. Or something like that.

What's your opinion on this kind of gameplay?

I have nothing to care to so I'm up for anything. Do we roll or do you just judge if its cool enough?

Yeah, rolling will add some randomness to this. I'll set a DC for the task and you roll a d20. Modifiers apply by doing smart things. Or terrible things.

I recommend we roll here and you tell us the consequences and we'll try to spin the results into a thrilling tale
