[Ponyfinder] Looking for Players

Hello everybody,

There are two slots open in a ponyfinder (PF, not 5e) game that I'm currently running.
Two players had to drop out due to personal reasons.
Since the group has pretty much finished the arc now, I'm looking for some new players that want to join.

The game is on every second wednesday at 18:00 UTC (time is jumping around with summer and winter time, GM country is Germany).
There will be themes and jokes that some may consider 'adult', so if you're sensitive about those, I would recommend against joining, since that is certain to impact your enjoyment of this.

The next game will be on the 1st of November 2017 and will deal with the final cleanup of the arc, as well as a session zero (setup and discussions about what we do next and where player want to be or go). I can't promise that we will reach the start of session zero. I don't enforce timing unless the players get into indecision stasis.

What you should know about the game:

It will be a total of 6 players. We are using voice chat on discord. I won't accept alternatives, since that is what has been working for everybody so far (You'll need the client, since the web-interface is wonky with audio streams). Also, I'm new to GMing, so I may take longer than an experienced GM for certain things.
The game itself is a story driven exploration type game. The tone is generally positive. The players have a lot of freedom where they wish to go, but it has turned out, that my group prefers an overarching plot instead of single session mini quests, so that is what we'll probably be going with. The world was set up in a way that provides ample opportunity to explore, though, and I will continue to use the elements that have proven interesting to the players. So, if you're looking for a more traditional adventuring campaign, this might be the game for you.

As for characters, I will accept most of the ponyfinder races - depending on setting, etc. - and almost all non-ocuclt classes - there's probably some weird stuff out there, that I don't know of - including custom ponyfinder ones. Since this is an ongoing game, you won't be starting at level 1. I do welcome players that are new to to pen and paper or ponyfinder, but I will point out that learning a new system at a higher character level is much more daunting a task.

If there are questions or you wish to join, simply post here. It's generally a first come first serve basis, although I do reserve the right to pick and choose. (There has to be some advantage to being GM, right?)

Sighs, I was just about to say I'd love to join but the time that you provided would be midnight/12:00 PM for me. There's a very small chance it might work, but it matters how many hours you will be wanting to run a session.

I was going to actually offer my character Mythos Gray, of who you can actually find the biography for in Forgotten Past and whose image graces the cover.

Ah, we generally run for four hours. Can't believe I forgot to mention that...

Hmm, well I can try seeing about having that work if you will have me. Four hours isn't that long, and again is only every other Wednesday. I'd have to see if I can try using Discord voice chat on my phone until I get my laptop or desktop up and running.

This will be a Pathfinder campaign correct?

Yes, it is a pathfinder campaign.
I had some trouble with discord voice chat on my phone, but one of the players tried and they were fine. Stil haven't figured out why mine doesn't work, but I wish you the best of luck.
I will pm you a link to the game as soon as I can (it may take a while, since I'm currently sitting in a factory, watching numbers scroll past a screen).
I don't mind if you wait until after the next session to make a final decision on things. It will also help you to try out how the timing really works for you.

If you're still looking for players, I would be very interested! I'm familiar with Ponyfinder, having supported the 5E Kickstarter having those books. I don't have the Pathfinder versions, but I'm very familiar with Pathfinder broadly. Been playing tabletop RPGs for about twenty five years now. Extremely interested in getting in on a Ponyfinder game! I'll keep an eye here, or you can add me on Discord. Rainbow#0692.

Here we go for her biography, I hope it will do.

Appearance: Rose is a doe with well-groomed, gem-like coat that is light pink in color with curly tufts of rose red fur on the tips of her ears and on her tail. The doe's mark of destiny is that of a potion with a light pink liquid and a gem cut red rose overlaid in front of it. She mostly wears bright and cheerfully colored clothes, often of pastel shades. She always keeps with her a necklace made by her mother, a carved heart of rose quartz which reminds her of who she is and motivation.

Background: She is one who tries to keep an upbeat and happy attitude, though stress and worry may pull her down just a bit. Rose does have an impressive amount of patience, but there are things that can get under her coat enough to make her upset. She is a romantic in heart and with a fondness of foals, yet shows love to all her friends and family no matter who or what they are. She understands the importance of high self-esteem and makes sure to try and teach those she meets to feel good about themselves. She is always happy to help others that may be struggling in their relationships, especially couples and will offer advice when asked or when she feels it as important. Finally, she greatly enjoys potion making, of coming up with new recipes with the crystals she uses, experimenting to see what she can make using her magic.

Rose is the daughter of a doe named Meadow Heart and the red stallion Ruby Star, one a ruminant and the other a gem pony. She was born with the form of her mother, without antlers as some female deer have, while inheriting a colorful gem-like coat and later mark of destiny like her father. Her parents had met unexpectedly, her father a wandering priest who had met her mother during his travels. They hit it off, and even managed to get into some trouble while having a few adventures together before finally settling down. Their love, while unpopular or even confusing in the eyes of many, was strong and filled their lives with joy.

Yet their home was taken over by a tyrant, a unicorn who rose to power and in his dark rule bring despair and fear. With Rose just a small filly at the time, her father hid from the king his wife and foal. It was hard, especially since he had been forced to work in the nearby mines. Yet, somehow, he managed to have it work and his family was never found.
It was the arrival of six adventurers from faraway that that the tyrant’s rule was finally broken, and with it the return of hope into the hearts of those who called the land their home. Rose even remembered the festival that was put together in celebration, of how fun it had been, though she had been young at the time. Really, it was the only moment she remembered so young.

It would take some adjusting for things to go back to normal, yet Rose and her family managed as did others. Not long afterwards the young doe will gain her mark of destiny, from messing around with her father's potions and medicine. She would use the recipes that Ruby had on hoof, but decided to experiment and use some powdered topaz. To her surprise, she found that she was make something tasty and which brightened her mood greatly. It was later when her father got home it was found what happened.

Feeling that she could be most useful traveling from city to city, town to town, much like her father before he settled down with her mother, selling her potions and medicines. Rose headed off on her own but not without a heartfelt goodbye to her parents, as well as a bag of supplies. She was nervous, even a bit afraid, yet her heart was determined and bright no matter the risk.
Yet even still, while the doe would seek out a few friends and companions in her travels, she was much like her mother and the rest of her kin in being a bit shy when meeting others. Rose will even learn of and find herself brought into the clergy of Lashtada, offering healing and guidance to all who would listen onto peaceful relations or working out ones’ differences. That love can overcome any boundaries, overcome hate, and even bring together those of difference races.

Well there sadly was a little mixup with the scheduling, so we won't have our healer about. If you're looking to join a game of pathfinder, you are welcome here. While I'm sure the group would appreciate a healer, we would all be grateful to just have you playing with us.
