Issues with the HeroLab extensions

Postby Spy Pony » Mon Mar 16, 2015 6:36 pm

So I'm trying to start up HeroLab with the new extensions for The Forgotten Gods and Griffons of Everglow, but I got an error I just can't seem to get around...

The error reads: Files:PYF Forgotten Gods of Everglow.user (line 469) - Thing 'fPYFGWCIP' - Field 'ActincrNam' referenced but not defined

It's preventing me from opening up any of my pony characters I made in HeroLabs... what should I do?

I've also gotten a few similar "thing x is not defined" errors in the Everglow expansion, before I added the Forgotten Gods one...

Does it work with just Ponyfinder installed? Do you have Ultimate Magic and Ultimate Combat installed and the APG?

Ah, it looks as if I don't have Ultimate Magic or Ultimate Combat. I guess I'll have to go install that... It didn't seem to work with the newest update to the Ponyfinder extension, either. But then again, I also just realized that I had an outdated version of HeroLabs. Apparently I neglected to check for updates for too long.

UPDATE: Wow, so apparently I was way backlogged on updates to HeroLabs. The new Ponyfinder extension works just fine. However, the expansions don't... I still don't have the Ultimate Magic or Ultimate Combat

We're getting somewhere! Did you follow the readme that came with the griffon one, if you're using the griffon one? You have to grab some third party data packs.

Yeah, the readme said to put the file into the pathfinder data folder, which I did... I didn't see anything about add-ons in it.

Click view updates, click add source, add http://www.shadowsoftware.net/herolab/d ... pdates.xml

Restart hero lab, click view updates, add the 3rd party pack.

So, copy/paste all of that?

No, those were discrete steps. Do copy/paste the url though, yes.

Sorry, I meant to ask if I should copy/paste all that data in the URL link... but I guess I just need to copy/paste the URL link itself.
