Edit: Maybe not... Investigating....

I think it might be easy enough to figure out. Just use [dice]0[/dice], and then the two numbers you get are the percentage.

Fixed, I think

Cool :) Thanks! Btw, how do I figure out how many skill points I get? I don't understand what it means about using the ability modifier.

That sounds like a more general Pathfinder question. It depends on what class you are. For instance, wizards get 2 skill points per level. You gain extra skill points per level for every +1 to your intelligence. Your modifier works like this:

6-7: -2
8-9: -1
10-11: 0
12-13: +1
14-15: +2
16-17: +3
18-19: +4

And so on. So if you are a level 1 wizard with 14 intelligence, you get 4 skill points(2 from wizard, 2 from your intelligence).

lol didn't know you could lose skill points

To a minimum of 1/level.

Ok, so my character is a level one Cleric. Clerics get 2 skill points, and my Int is 10, so no bonus. I only get one skill rank per hit die/level, right? So that means I get two skills?

You get two skill ranks a level. Two for being a cleric, +0 for your 10 intelligence. You can put them wherever you want them, but at no time can you have a skill with more ranks than you have levels.

Ok... So that's basically a "yes". I have another question though.

Difficulty Class (DC)

Whenever a creature attempts to perform an action whose success is not guaranteed, he must make some sort of check (usually a skill check). The result of that check must meet or exceed the Difficulty Class of the action that the creature is attempting to perform in order for the action to be successful.

Check

A check is a d20 roll which may or may not be modified by another value. The most common types are attack rolls, skill checks, ability checks and saving throws.

This is what I found about how to use skills^. But some of the DCs I'm seeing are 20 or higher. How can you possibly roll higher then 20 with a d20? :???:

Because your skills have bonuses. If you have ranks, you add that. You also add your modifier for the stat involved.

For instance, you want to climb a treacherous wall of doom and horror. Its DC is 22.

You have 16 strength(+3) and 2 ranks in climb(+2), that's +5 to your 1d20 roll. You have a chance! A small chance, but a chance.

If a skill is a class skill for any class you have, you get +3 more for having any ranks in it.

In the above example, if climb was a class skill, you'd have +8 total.
