Re: A Spell For Pegasus Cloud Cities (5e)

Nope. Crafting in 5e is kind of underdeveloped. They use a Tool Proficiency system where as part of the player's Background selection, the player can choose two musical instruments, languages, and/or the tools of a particular profession like a blacksmith. It's mainly a RP/flavor perk, and the devs d...

Re: 5E Class Archtypes

Blaze as a Warlock patron. This Archetype is designed to reward you for attacking allies, non-combatants, and yourself. Obviously Blaze doesn't have any particular grudge against non-hostiles, but players will generally try go out of their way to avoid attacking anyone except their enemies - this Ar...

Re: 5E Class Archtypes

Cursory glance only at the moment, but I like these. Maybe the control weather spell once per day without preparation or components for the Druid of the Sky 14th level ability, just to give them the ability to run the weather in an area, particularly when working together. (That might be overkill, ...

Re: 5E Overhaul.... didn't have what we needed.

Sounds good. The only exploit I can think of is that Tempest Cleric Pegasi will be able to get 10 feet of knockback from that most every turn. It's not the biggest advantage - Warlocks get knockback on Eldritch Blast multiple times per turn, for contrast, but it is a nifty combo.

Re: 5E Overhaul.... didn't have what we needed.

Ok, so if you look at the available ranged weapons, the highest damage is the Heavy Crossbow which deals 1d10, but requires loading. Next, there's the Longbow which has 1d8 and also the best range (150/600). The Javelin has 1d6, and a range of (30/120). I think that if you want special javelins, 1d8...

Re: 5E Overhaul.... didn't have what we needed.

At 1d4 it's on-par with un-upgraded two-weapon fighting. At 3d4 it's on-par with Two-weapon fighting style, but worse since you can't stack extra damage from magic weapons, Hex, Hunter's Mark, or Improved Divine Strike. That's on top of the fact that Two-weapon fighting style is already the worst fi...

Re: 5E Overhaul.... didn't have what we needed.

What do you think of bonus damage following the cantrip scaling? Figure an extra 1d4 lightning damage on thrown weapons incentivizes them pretty well when it increases to 4d4 over time. Puts the throwing weapons on par damage wise with other ranged weapons at 1st level and outshines them later at t...

Re: 5E Overhaul.... didn't have what we needed.

Thematically, it's grand. But it's definitely on the higher power end of the scale, and I'd really want to get some serious table time on something like this before calling it ready. Hi, I was the friend who helped make that bloodline and I'm curious why you say it's on the higher power end of the ...
