Not nessecarily. It doesn't have to end up Earth shaped at all. It doesn't even need to have any humanoid races present either. Considering through this system you are deciding what races to populate the world with, you can make almost anything.

I recently rediscovered Ponyfinder and am really wanting to either start up a game, or join in one. However I want to do something a little different in comparison to some other games. Normally one might use either the main setting for Ponyfinder, or convert it somewhat to a more MLP themed setting. What I am proposing is making our own world to put our Equine, and other, characters in. This isn't as hard as it sounds as there is a system in place for world making, one that I have played around with already. You can find the system in question here. Anyone interested in trying to set up a very custom campaign feel free to post.
